Ruth Reed, Founder
Ruth is the founder and primary benefactor of the Ruth and Joseph C. Reed Foundation for the Arts. It was her belief that exposure to and participation in the arts can be a life-changing force. She had a degree in Art from the U. Of Chicago, was a world traveler, an accomplished painter, and sculptor, as well as a published poet. Ruth passed away January 9, 2022 at the young age of 99.5. She will be in hearts forever.
Edward Drake, Treasurer
Edward is a Certified Financial Planner and Senior Vice President in the U.S. banking industry. He has been volunteering time and helped steer public and corporate resources to philanthropic activities for nearly 20 years. Over that time, he has sat on numerous boards in varying capacities that served causes mostly related to at-risk youth, afterschool programs, and justice for victims of child abuse.
Dan Harden, President
Dan is a former Bonita High School, La Verne, Government and Economics teacher, and La Verne City Councilman. Dan helped The Fairplex, Pomona, develop career and technical education classes that provide training for high school students to learn vocational skills in water technology, automotive mechanics, hotel and restaurant management, agriculture, fashion design, and commercial art.

Vicki Connely, Director
Vicki is an effective leader in a nonprofit organization and program development. She has helped manage, transform and reorganize agencies into multi-faceted and culturally diverse organizations with meaningful new programs to meet community needs while securing financial stability. She has created, from concept to implementation, diverse programs that deliver social services.
She has lead board members through the strategic planning process, developing succession plans, and setting the standards for governance. In each situation, she generated significant funds, resources, community support, and great visibility for the agencies.
